Job Opportunity: RN - Behavioral Health (Travel)

Location: Avondale, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel Contract

Position Overview

Provide psychotherapy and counseling therapies to patients with psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Therapies include group, individual, and family sessions. Responsibilities include:

• Accurate and timely patient documentation
• Communication with clients, families, and referral sources within HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines
• Active involvement in treatment planning and revising goals as needed
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff
• Coordination with utilization review on length of stay and treatment
• Creation of thorough discharge plans ensuring continuity of care

Requirements

• Specialty: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
• Required Years of Experience: 2 years in psychiatric nursing
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Handle With Care (HWC) — note: CPI certification is no longer accepted at this facility
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
