Contract Details

• Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of two weekends per schedule
• Call Requirements: None

• Unit: Emergency Department
• Trauma Level: III (Level 3)
• Number of Beds: 48 with flex space
• Patient Ratios:

  • Main ED: 4:1
  • Fast Track: 6:1
• Patient Population: ESRD, Cirrhosis, COPD, Psychiatric
• Equipment: Zoll Defibrillator, Level One Blood Transfuser, QinFlow Blood Warmer, Hospira Plum360, Freestyle and Istat POC, Ultrasound Guided IV
• EHR System: Cerner
• Nursing Model: Team nursing and Pod System
• Support Staff: Social Worker assigned to department, Unit Educator

Position Requirements

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Emergency Medicine
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (American Heart Association)
  • PALS (American Heart Association)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course, AHA)
• Required Education: RN with ADN
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department or Emergency Medicine specialty (preferred 2 years ED experience)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified / not required
• Float Requirements: None
• Call Requirements: None

Skills & Experience

• Must Have:

  • Trauma care
  • Stroke management
  • STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction) care
  • Sepsis management
  • Moderate sedation
• Preferred: 2 years Emergency Department experience
