Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Shift: 7:15 PM – 6:45 AM
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Call: Not required
Floating: As needed within scope
Locals Allowed: Yes

Block Scheduling: Willing to discuss during interview

Experience & Certification Requirements

Specialty: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required within 6 months of hire for L&D
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – required within 18 months of hire for L&D
Additional Recommended Certifications (may be required depending on unit):
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- NIH Stroke Certification

Background & Health Requirements

Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
Education verification required (US equivalency documentation if education completed out of county)
Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B – documentation of 3 doses or signed declination
- Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)

Additional Requirements

Completion of confidentiality, crime disclosure, and potential conflict of interest statements
2 professional references completed within 1 year of start
Medication and competency exams as applicable

Floating may be required within scope of practice
Block scheduling is negotiable during interview
