Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician (Travel/Contract)

Location: York, Pennsylvania
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Position: Vascular Radiology Technician with experience as a Cath Lab Tech or IR Tech.
  • Schedule: 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) with call rotation and weekends as needed.
  • Flexibility required to stay longer if needed to care for the last patient.
  • Call requirement: Must be located within 30 minutes of the facility.
  • Weekend and holiday rotations required.
  • May care for COVID-19 patients.
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Experience & Certifications

  • Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years (may consider candidates with less experience).
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) required.
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Required Documents & Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID).
  • Background checks including:
    • 7-year criminal background check.
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM.
    • HHS/OIG.
    • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting (must be completed within 1 year of start; can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days).
    • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (must be completed within 5 years; can start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days).
    • Pennsylvania PATCH Search Results (must be finalized prior to start).
  • Education verification (highest level of education).
  • Professional references (2 required within 3 years).
  • Recent resume or employment application.
  • Skills checklist (annual requirement).
  • Performance evaluations will be completed onsite during assignment.

Required Certifications (as applicable)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted.
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit/job description.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT.
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for:
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series).
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – 2 doses or positive titers.
    • Varicella – 2 doses or positive titer.
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years.
    • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted).
    • Seasonal flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations NOT accepted).
    • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination.
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (Aya requirement only).

Additional Requirements

  • Clear, professional passport-style photo for badge.
  • Completion of facility-specific documents including:
    • Medical statement of ability to work.
    • Code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, and other facility policies.
  • Completion of online Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start (for RNs and CNAs).
  • Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually.

Notes

  • Candidates will undergo a clinical pre-screen to determine fit.
  • Manager interview required.
  • Maximum response time for time off (RTO) is 7 days.
  • Floating is not applicable for this position.
