Unit: Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRP Unit)
Department: Women’s Services
Number of Beds: 15 total (6 L&D, 9 Postpartum)
Patient Population: Adults and Newborns
Patient Ratios: Per AWHONN Standards
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Centricity/MEDHOST
Equipment: Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter Pumps, Masimo Monitors, GE Centricity Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring

Required Qualifications

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery specialty (highest required years of experience)

Spontaneous Vaginal Delivery (SVD) - no VBAC
Cesarean section care
OB triage
Nonstress test administration
Postpartum and nursery care, including care of newborns and related procedures
Management of hemorrhages
Fetal monitoring and interventions
Management of pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, and hypertensive crisis patients
