Job Opportunity: RN - PACU (Travel)

Job Description

• Position: Travel Med/Surg RN in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Shift: Days, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Call Rotation: Required (minimum 1 day on-call per week and weekend rotation every 6-7 weeks)
• Facility Size: 99 beds
• Unit Size: 6 beds
• Monthly Department Volume: Approximately 250-300 procedures
• Patient Ratio: ASPAN standards
• Shift Length: 8 hours, 5 days per week

Responsibilities

• Provide care to Post Anesthesia Care patients
• Collaborate with Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Surgical staff, and other personnel
• Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience in general, orthopedics, OB/GYN, podiatry, plastics, endoscopy, trauma
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required
