Job Description

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients.
• Perform diagnostic studies as per physician orders.
• Receive and record radiopharmaceuticals.
• Conduct daily/weekly quality control dose testing.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology.
• Provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and instrumentation calibration.
• Process images for radiologist/cardiologist review.
• Post-process imaging within Xeleris and record information in Nemis.
• Utilize Electronic Health Records effectively.
• Perform Nuclear Medicine (NM) and treadmill stress tests under the direction of a Cardiologist.
• Clean room and work area routinely after every patient.

Requirements

• Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Rad Tech)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years recent Nuclear Med Tech experience in a hospital setting
• Certifications:

  • ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine or CNMT Registered (must be current)
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (RQI not accepted)
• Equipment Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with GEHC NM Infinia & NEMIS / Xeleris 5.0 equipment
• Skills:

  • Ability to perform Stress Echo and treadmill tests (will work side by side with Cardiologist or ACLS RN)
• Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (No weekends or on-call)

Contract Length

• 14 weeks

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be comfortable working in a hospital setting with community hospital experience preferred.
• Must be able to use Electronic Health Records and advanced imaging software.
