Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Monterey, California
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Job Details
- Specialty: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- 30-minute lunch break
- No weekend or holiday requirement for outpatient clinic
- Patient Load: Approximately 6 adult patients per day, 75-minute time slots
- Patient Population: Adults only (no pediatrics)
- Caseload: Mix of cognition, speech, and swallow disorders
- Work Environment: Outpatient clinic only
Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold California State Speech Language Pathologist license
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- Experience: Outpatient adult SLP experience required (years not explicitly stated, assume minimum 1+ year)
- Drug Testing: Nicotine-free facility; negative nicotine/cotinine drug screen required unless prescribed nicotine patch
- Orientation: 1 day total (includes EMR training, meeting with director, and shadowing)
