Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Radiology Technician (Travel)
Location: Hazard, Kentucky

Job Description
- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years as a Cath Lab Radiologist Technologist.
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. One weekday off rotates weekly.
- On-Call: 8 to 10 days per month. Typical rotation includes one night per week (5:30 PM to 7:00 AM) and one weekend every 3 weeks with extended call coverage Friday evening through Sunday.
- Response Time: Must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts.
- Procedures: 8-10 procedures daily in 2 Cath Labs; team rotates in the EP Lab.
- STEMI Cases: Average 6-8 per month.
- Duties:
- Panning the table, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases.
- Use of devices such as Shock wave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, Acist Contrast injector.
- Device implants including pacemaker and ICD (single, dual, Bi-V leads), peripheral diagnostics and interventions.
- Cross-training in EP for ablations preferred; training available.
- Access via both radial and groin approaches.
- Equipment Provided: Scrubs and lead apron.
Required Credentials & Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required for all RNs, Respiratory Therapists, and CT Techs.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required for all RNs except Psych and certain Med/Surg units.
- State License: Kentucky or compact license valid for Kentucky ARH facilities.
- Immunizations & Health Requirements:
- COVID-19 Vaccine (religious and medical exemptions accepted with documentation).
- MMR (2 vaccinations or positive titer).
- Hepatitis B (3 vaccine series or declination accepted).
- Influenza Vaccine (required Sept 1 - May 31, exemptions accepted with documentation).
- Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive titer).
- Tdap (valid 10 years, declinations accepted).
- TB Quantiferon or PPD with chest X-ray if positive.
- Fit Test: For N95 respirators (optional but recommended).
- Health Statement: Annual physical or physician note within 1 year prior to start, stating clear to work without restrictions.
Professional & Compliance Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year county, nationwide criminal, SSN trace, sex offender registry, SAM, OIG, EPLS, OFAC, and others as per facility policy.
- Drug Screen (excluding marijuana/THC).
- Skills Checklist and Competency Exam specific to scope of practice (annual update required).
- Core Competencies including HIPAA, Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse, Cultural Diversity, etc. (annual update required).
- Submission Packet including signed job description and professional references (2 required, including 1 supervisor reference within last year).
- Assignment confirmation must be submitted within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
- Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification within 30 days prior to start.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Candidates must reside within 100 miles of the facility to be considered.
- Orientation is bi-weekly.
- Schedule is based on a 36/48 hour pay period unless otherwise noted.
- Ratios and call schedules may fluctuate based on census and staffing.
