Job Description
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional care for a group of patients during a designated time frame. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources to deliver quality patient care within the institution's philosophy.
Essential Functions
- Perform all unit-specific responsibilities within the scope of service.
- Implement procedures and theories related to the practice area.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
- Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Implement and modify plans of care and nursing interventions based on continuous evaluation.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
- Communicate effectively and privately to resolve issues.
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and collaborate to expand knowledge.
- Identify personal learning needs and take initiative for professional development.
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
Education
- Required: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
- Preferred: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
Certifications & Licensure
- Illinois state RN License in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)

- No prior travel experience required.
