Job Opportunity: Scrub Tech (Operating Room)

Job Description

• Provide specific patient care duties and unit support activities in the operating room suite.
• Anticipate needs before and during surgical cases, assist with dressings and cast application post-procedure.
• Follow physician preference cards for cases.
• Document and communicate important data, including surgical counts and updates to surgeon preference cards.
• Identify problems and take appropriate action to improve quality of care.
• May work additional or different shifts as requested.
• Responsible for at least one department task beyond routine duties.
• Participate in teaching and submit recommendations for process improvements or cost containment.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years as a scrub person in a hospital setting.
• Must have orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgical experience.

Licensure & Certification

• Preferred: Completion of an approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training.
• Preferred: Scrub Tech Certification.
• Required: BLS for Healthcare Providers.

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Compliance with regulatory requirements including licensing, certification, and mandatory training is expected.
