Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Wyoming, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: CVOR Registered Nurse
  • Shift: Primarily 4x10 hour shifts (06:30 - 17:00), with consideration for 5x8 hour shifts
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • On-Call Requirement: Yes, 2-3 days per week
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Yes
  • Floating: May float within scope to main OR if needed
  • Guaranteed Hours:
    • 36 hours for 3, 12-hour shifts
    • 48 hours for 4, 12-hour shifts
    • 40 hours for shifts under 12 hours (8 or 10-hour shifts)

Experience & Requirements

  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years in CVOR or related OR settings
  • First-Timers Accepted: No
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
  • Required Work Setting Experience:
    • CVOR
    • General OR
    • Hybrid OR
    • Trauma
  • Epic Experience: Required

Certifications Required

  • ACLS (AHA only; Instructor, Provider, and RQI acceptable)
  • BLS (AHA only; Instructor, Provider, and RQI acceptable)

Facility & Work Environment

  • Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
  • Hospital Designation: Teaching hospital, Adult Level II Trauma center
  • Documentation System: Epic
  • Parking: Free

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • I9 or attestation
  • E-Verify or attestation
  • 7-year background check (updated annually) including SS trace, county, statewide, nationwide, sex offender, and education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Education verification (transcript or diploma accepted as placeholder if pending)
  • Physical exam within last 12 months (for agency records)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
  • Various health immunizations and titers required or declinations accepted except for certain departments (e.g., TDAP, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
  • Fit mask testing completed onsite during orientation
  • Completion of facility-specific forms including demographics, emergency contact, vaccine attestation, and contractor screening checklist
  • Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable

  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restrictions
  • Pending state license not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 professional references required
