Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Open heart surgery experience required
- Scrub experience required
- EPIC experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- BLS certification required
- Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts (06:00-16:30) with alternating days off
- On-call 1-2 days per week with 30-minute response time
- Weekend coverage every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM)
- Holiday coverage as needed (at least 1 major holiday expected)
- Floating as needed
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Requirements & Certifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years CVOR experience
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC as applicable (refer to unit/job description)
- Licenses:
- State RN license verification required
- NURSYS verification required
- Competencies:
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (pass/fail) required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
- Background Checks:
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
- PA FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start, renewed every 5 years
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search required within 5 years of start
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start (must be finalized prior to start)
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers required for:
- Hepatitis B (full series or positive titer plus declination)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titers with boosters as needed
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters as needed
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
- Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or medical/religious exemption/declination accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only)
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years required
- Employment History: Most recent resume/application required
- Skills Checklist: Required annually
Additional Information
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Candidate will undergo clinical screening and manager interview
- Facility requires a clear, professional photo for badge
