Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Operating Room
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Job Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 10 weeks
- Shift Schedule: Variable start, call required, floating to sister facilities as needed (Cascade Valley and Skagit Valley)
- Call Required: No
- Floating Required: Yes, to sister facilities as needed

Experience & Certification Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (Operating Room)
- Years of Experience Required: 1 year
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification) – check unit specifics
Background & Compliance
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Education verification required (US equivalency documentation if education completed out of county)
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- References: 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start required
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of 3 doses or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
Additional Requirements
- Photo for badge
- Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, crime disclosure, and conflict of interest forms
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
