Job Opportunity: Rad Tech - Radiology

Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel


Position Details

  • Specialty: Radiology Technician (RT)
  • Focus Areas: Surgery and Arthrograms, Diagnostic X-Ray
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
  • Call Requirements:
    • Weekend rotation and weeknights
    • Minimum 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month on call
    • Call hours: Weekdays 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM; Weekends 5:30 PM Friday - 6:00 AM Monday
    • Call volume is low, mainly portable exams for inpatients with status changes

Experience & Certifications

  • Required Years of Experience: 2 years in Radiology specialty
  • Certifications Required:
    • ISDH (Indiana State Department of Health)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Skills & Experience:
    • O-arm and C-arm experience required
    • Strong background in surgery, especially orthopedic and neurological cases
    • Experience with Arthrogram procedures and general X-Ray
  • Preferred: Experience with surgery and arthrograms

Unit & Work Environment

  • Unit Type: Short stay hospital unit
  • Number of Beds: Recovery beds associated with 5 OR suites (3 currently in use)
  • Equipment Used: OEC, GE, Siemens, AIRO CT (Stryker)
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Personality Fit: Flexible, self-sufficient, compassionate
  • Dress Code: OR scrubs

Additional Information

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Float Requirements: Potentially required
  • Orientation & Training:
    • Virtual hospital orientation
    • Onsite learning modules on 2nd day
    • EPIC training on 3rd or 4th day at Indianapolis campus
