Job Opportunity: RN - NICU (Travel)
Location: Brownsville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty & Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum 4 years in NICU Level III - IV
- Certifications Required:
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Licenses: Registered Nurse License
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Neonatal Intensive Care
- Number of Beds: 10 NICU beds, 8 Stepdown beds
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, up to 4 RNs
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, up to 4 RNs
- Patient Ratios: 1:3 and 1:1
- Equipment Used:
- HFNC (High Flow Nasal Cannula)
- Ventilators
- SiPAP
- HFOV (High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation)
- Central Lines, PIV (Peripheral IV)
- Feeding Pumps, IV Pumps
- EMR System: CPN/Meditech
Skills & Procedures
- Must Have:
- Minimum 2 years NICU Level III - IV experience (part of the 4 years total requirement)
- RN, NRP, STABLE certifications
- Preferred:
- Additional NICU Level III - IV experience beyond minimum
- Typical Procedures Performed:
- Intubations (performed by providers)
- Chest Tubes, PICC lines, Central Lines (performed by providers)
