Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 25 weeks

Job Description

• Shifts will vary day to day and week to week based on patient volume.
• Responsible for fulfilling all job duties of a staff radiation therapist.
• Expected to participate in warm-ups, closing shifts, and chart checks.
• 4 years of experience preferred in Radiation Therapy.
• Previous travel experience preferred (not required but advantageous).

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist (highest stated requirement).
• Prior travel experience preferred but not mandatory.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• Professional license verification (no conditional licenses accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA preferred).
• N95 Fit Test (must be current within 1 year and updated annually).
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or proof of immunity.
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30).
• Tuberculosis (TB) screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test).
• Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 1 year.
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry.
• Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, Medicaid exclusion lists.
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (if fit test required).

Preferred Credentials (Not Mandatory)

• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity (strongly preferred).
• Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years (preferred).
• Positive PPD with negative chest x-ray documentation if applicable.

Additional Requirements

• Submit a professional color photo (recent, plain background, no glasses).
• Provide 2 recent professional references (minimum 1 supervisor or above).
• Resume including 7 years of work experience with city and state details.
• Skills checklist and candidate submission coversheet required for submission.
• Education verification and Social Security Number trace required.

Notes

• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for required vaccines.
• Fit testing cannot be done onsite; must be completed prior to assignment start.
• Documentation must be kept current and updated as required throughout the assignment.

This position is ideal for Radiation Therapists with solid experience seeking a long-term travel assignment in a dynamic hospital environment with variable shifts. Prior travel experience is a plus but not mandatory.
