Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Job Description

• Work under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies and procedures.
• Direct co-workers in implementing the patient's plan of care.
• Provide nursing care using the Nursing Process:

  • Complete nursing assessments and document appropriately.
  • Develop and implement plans of care based on patient assessments.
  • Evaluate patient responses and update plans of care.
  • Oversee delegation of patient care tasks to unit staff.

Requirements

• Specialty: Med Surg Nursing
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience (required)
• Additional Experience: Strong Orthopedics experience (required)
• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification required)
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Med Surg, current within 1 year (required)
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required)

Additional Information

• Facility considers local candidates within a 50-mile radius for this 13-week contract.
• All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission; requests after offer may result in rescinded offer.
• No explicit mention of prior travel experience required.
