Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Towson, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled
Floating: Required within specialty and lower acuity as needed
On-Call: Not required

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted)

Licenses & Certifications Required

• Maryland RN License
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for Tele and stroke patient care; must be updated annually)
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - as applicable
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, STABLE) - refer to unit/job description

Required Competencies

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (score 80%+)
• Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
• Competency Exam (score 80%+)
• Age Specific Competency Exam (score 80%+)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (score 80%+)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification for highest level of education
• Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start
• Two supervisory references within 1 year (1 must be supervisor/manager, 1 charge RN acceptable)
• Employment history verification for previous 5-7 years (attestation accepted if necessary)
• Agency application/resume completed within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (including Latex Screen)
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine (required for units working with children or newborns)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual update required)
• TB Questionnaire if positive TB result (within 2 weeks prior to start)
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination accepted; series not accepted)
  • Varicella
• Negative drug screen (9 or 10 panel depending on facility) within 30 days prior to start (instant tests not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/6 - 3/31)
• COVID vaccine not required for this location but vaccine or declination collected for tracking

Facility Specific Requirements

• IT confidentiality agreement to be signed within 24 hours of receipt
• Passport-style photo with solid white/beige background for badge
• Medical flu declination form if applicable (must be signed by physician)
• Respiratory protection questionnaire signed by medical professional
• Job description acknowledgment signed prior to start
• Security ID application completed within 72 hours of signing contract
• Confidentiality agreement signed prior to start
• Dress code reviewed prior to start
• Latex allergy questionnaire completed by candidate and physician if applicable
• Epic Portfolio Training Test Out Form (if applicable)

Additional Notes

• Floating within specialty and lower acuity units is required
• On-call shifts are not required for this position
• Candidate must be aware of weekend and holiday work requirements
• All documentation and compliance must be completed timely to avoid delays in credentialing and orientation
