Job Opportunity: Technologist - MRI (Temp)

Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Seeking a Technologist with MRI specialty for a temporary assignment. The role involves working with GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI equipment, typically supporting approximately 9 patients per shift. The technologist will always work alongside another Tech Aide or MRI Tech/Traveler and will not work solo. After midnight, coverage is provided by on-call staff.

Requirements

• Specialty: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience (highest required)
• Certifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI Certification (required)
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• Equipment Experience:

  • GE MRI equipment experience (required)
  • Meditech Expanse experience (highly preferred)
• Work Conditions:

  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings
  • Must be willing to take call as needed
  • Must have own vehicle
• Residency Restriction: Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Scheduling:

  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted and approved at the time of application; no changes or approvals after offer
  • No more than 5 days of RTO allowed during the assignment (less is preferred)

• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable orientation
• Holiday and overtime multipliers apply
• Must provide:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist for MRI current to within 1 year
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• The facility is a 298-bed teaching hospital with a highly rated patient safety record and a full continuum of medical specialties. The diagnostic imaging department operates 24/7 with state-of-the-art MRI, CT, ultrasound, and other imaging technologies.
