Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Glen Burnie, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Start Date: 02/23/2026
Shift: Nights (20:00-08:30), 3x12 hour shifts (will accept 4x12)
Schedule: Every other weekend required; holidays required as scheduled
Floating: Required within specialty and lower acuity units as needed
On-Call: Pre-scheduled on-call shifts not required


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty (MS/Tele) required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Prior travel experience: Not required

Licenses & Certifications Required

  • Registered Nurse license in Maryland
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, required for all acute care positions
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - required as applicable
  • NIH Stroke Certification - required for specific units, must be updated annually

Additional Requirements & Competencies

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (score 80%+)
  • Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
  • Competency Exam (score 80%+)
  • Age Specific Competency Exam (score 80%+)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (score 80%, required for all units except certain roles)

Background & Compliance Checks

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Education verification for highest level of education
  • Maryland State Exclusions List check within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (including Latex Screen)
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for units working with children)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines, updated annually
  • TB Questionnaire if positive TB result
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination accepted)
    • Varicella
  • Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (instant tests NOT accepted)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID vaccine not required for this location, but documentation collected for tracking

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Passport/badge style photo with solid white/beige background
  • Completion of facility-specific learning modules prior to start (unpaid)
  • Completion of IT access forms and vehicle identification form prior to start
  • Completion of Pyxis Access Request Form after learning modules
  • Signing of confidentiality agreement, dress code review, and job description acknowledgment prior to start
  • Security ID application must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract
  • Portfolio Epic Training Test Out Form may be required depending on Epic experience

References & Employment Verification

  • Two supervisory references within 1 year of start (Charge RNs, Supervisors, or Managers)
  • Agency application/resume completed within 30 days of start
  • Verification of previous 5 years of employment history (attestation accepted if necessary)
