Job Opportunity: ICU RN (Travel)

Job Details

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts), 3 shifts per week (based on unit needs)
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIH Certification (updated yearly)
• Additional Skills: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) knowledge required

Licensure & Verification

• Current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source verification of license within 30 days prior to assignment
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be valid and match address requirements)

Exams & Competency Requirements

• Ascension Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Specialty Exam (minimum 80%, updated every 3 years)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission, OSHA topics; minimum 80%, updated yearly)
• Ascension EKG Exam (minimum 80%, 2 attempts allowed)
• Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical skills, completed within 1 year of start, updated annually)
• Ascension Epic Test-Out (required)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); declinations accepted with mask requirement
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two vaccines (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Fit Test: Required annually (specific mask types required)
• 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually

Background & Verification Checks

• Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry (updated annually)
• Employment Verification (past 7 years, updated annually)
• Education Verification (within 90 days of start)
• Professional References: At least two required prior to first assignment

Onboarding & Compliance

• Completion of Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding and related education attestations
• Biometric consent and health statement required
• Badge photo (white or blue background, no alterations)
