Job Description
- Work in a Level III NICU/PICU setting providing respiratory therapy services
- Night shift position
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Current Respiratory Therapist license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics
- Driver’s License/State ID (valid, must match address requirements)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Documentation of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
- Fit Test (PAPR not completed onsite; specific mask types required)
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
- Influenza vaccine (seasonal; exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
- Positive IGRA or PPD results with negative chest X-ray within one year, plus annual TB questionnaire
- Two-step PPD or IGRA within specified timeframes
- Varicella vaccination or immunity documentation (no declinations accepted)
- Tdap vaccination valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Health statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
- 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Completion of Ascension Respiratory Therapy Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation (6 hours pre-hire training)
- Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year, updated yearly
- Ascension Skills Checklist (clinical competency) completed within one year, updated annually
- Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 30 days of assignment start
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start
- Education verification relevant to clinical work within 90 days of start
- Employment verification for the past seven years
- Confirmation of assignment documentation on agency letterhead
- Ascension Badge Photo (headshot with white or blue background, no alterations)
