Job Opportunity: SLP Outpatient (Travel/Contract)
Location: Kinston, North Carolina

Job Details
- Shift: 5 days a week, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
- Setting: Outpatient clinic with approximately 75% pediatrics and 25% adults
- No weekends or on-call required
- No local candidates within 50-mile radius considered
- Electronic Health Record System: EPIC required
Requirements
- Licensure: North Carolina state license required
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required for all units
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) from ASHA required
- Preferred Certifications:
- FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
- MBImP (Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile)
Experience

- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually

- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years

- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Certifications Validity: Certifications must not expire within 30 days of start; proof of renewal or renewal plan acceptable as placeholder
- Orientation: Candidates will complete LMS modules during orientation
Summary
This is a travel/contract SLP position in an outpatient setting with a pediatric focus. The role requires NC licensure, BLS, and CCC-SLP certification. EPIC experience is mandatory. The contract is approximately 13 weeks long with a standard weekday schedule and no weekend or call responsibilities. Candidates must meet comprehensive background, health, and certification requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
