Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position
Location: Highlands, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work setting includes Acute care and Eckerd Living Center (ELC) nursing home.
- Facility offers 24 acute/swing beds, 40 nursing home beds, and 10 skilled beds within the nursing home.
- Patient care provided in various settings: patient rooms, hallways, outdoor areas, and rehab gym.
- Typical rehab equipment available; new rehab gym planned with outdoor gym in development.
- Clinicians have full access to both the nursing home and rehab gyms.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; schedule details to be discussed during interview.
- Floating required between acute/swing, nursing home, and outpatient services as needed.
Requirements
- Specialty: Physical Therapy
- Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years preferred in a medical setting (hospital and/or nursing home).
- Certifications:
- CPR (BLS) certification required
- North Carolina Physical Therapy license required
- Experience with physical therapy evaluations, establishing plans of care, assisting with rounds and care conferences.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with rehab team regarding patient progress, equipment needs, and discharge planning.
