Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist (PT)

Location: Jerome, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Department: Physical Therapy
• Unit: Physical Therapy Jerome
• Patient Load: 8 to 10 patients per day (1 therapist per day)
• Common Diagnoses/Patient Types:

  • Orthopedic total joints
  • Neurological (strokes, occasional brain injuries, no TBI)
  • Medical and General ICU patients
• Care Settings: Acute Inpatient and Swing Bed
• Floating: May float to Magic Valley Medical Center when census is low
• EMR System: EPIC

Requirements

• Licensure/Certification: BLS Certification required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers are welcome
• Shifts: Monday to Friday, 5 shifts of 8 hours (08:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Orientation: 2-3 days of unit/department-specific orientation, typically Monday to Friday
• Holiday Coverage: May be required to cover holidays
• Dress Code: Scrubs permitted, but must not match colors of other departments (color options provided upon hire)

Additional Notes

• There is a PT Manager on each shift
• No weekend requirements
• No self-scheduling available
• Facility enforces a 50-mile radius rule for candidates’ permanent address

This position is suitable for physical therapists with at least 1 year of acute inpatient or rehab experience who are comfortable working in a hospital setting with a moderate patient load and are open to holiday coverage. Prior travel experience is not mandatory.
