Job Opportunity: RN Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Role:

  • Provide direct nursing care following established policies and protocols
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Coordinate care among all disciplines
  • Follow physician and nursing orders
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with healthcare team

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR: Proof of two vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted
• Varicella: Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history; no declinations accepted
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted but mask required
• Fit Test: Required annually (preferred before start)
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within 1 year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Health Statement: Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within 1 year, updated annually
• Ascension Education Verification: Verification of education within 90 days prior to start
• Ascension Criminal Background Check: Includes Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and others; completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually
• Ascension EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
• Ascension Employment Verification: Third-party employment verification for past 7 years, updated annually
• Ascension Profile (Resume) and 2 Professional References required prior to first assignment
• Badge Photo: Forward-facing headshot with white or blue background, no alterations

Notes

• Flu season mask requirement applies even if vaccine is declined
• Pharmacology, Core Competencies, and EKG exams require minimum passing scores and limited attempts
