Registered Nurse - Step Down (Float Pool)

Location: Vineland, New Jersey

Job Description

• Float nurse position caring for acute step-down patients within the facility.
• May be required to float to a secondary facility.
• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours each.
• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend.
• Holiday: 1 holiday per contract if needed.
• Return to Office (RTO): No more than 3 days.

Contract Length

• 8 weeks with likely extension.

Licensure & Certifications

• Nursing license: New Jersey or compact license accepted.
• Required certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - AHA only

Charting System

• Cerner electronic health record system.

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, and in-person classes (typically Tuesday through Thursday).
• POCT class attendance required (not during orientation week).
• Unit-based orientation schedule provided by manager.
• Badge ID appointment must be completed in person during orientation; photo submissions not accepted. Badge required for clock-ins.

Additional Requirements

• Background check, drug screen, employment and educational verification, immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella), physical exam, and various screenings and attestations as part of onboarding.

Experience Requirements
