Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Description

• Work in a 18-bed Emergency Department with patient types including behavioral health, pediatrics, and adults
• Patient ratio: 4:1
• Experience with drips including sedation and vasoactive medications required
• Must be able to read, measure, and interpret telemetry strips
• Traveler will be required to float across multiple campuses
• Typical workweek: 36-40 hours, with overtime billable after 40 hours
• Orientation dates are firm

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 36 months (3 years) of current Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience
• Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients required
• Experience with behavioral health patients highly preferred
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department discipline required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Current TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Professional references from within the last 24 months preferred

• Night shift position
