Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN (Varied Shifts)

Location: Lima, Ohio
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide patient care on assigned shifts in accordance with the health system’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.
• Expected to float to units within scope of practice and skill set; refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the week.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with OB/GYN experience
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in OB experience (highest required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment (required)
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active Ohio or Compact RN License
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification
• Skills: Ability to function as a 1st assist and scrub in OB (highly preferred)
• Work History & Skills Checklist: Must be current within 1 year and pertinent to OB/GYN specialty

Additional Information

• Shift Preferences: Varied shifts preferred; candidates for days or nights only will be considered.
• EMR System: MediTech
• Nonbillable Hours: 8 hours
• Overtime/Holiday/Callback pay at 1.25x regular rates

This position is ideal for experienced OB/GYN RNs who have prior travel experience and hold all required certifications, with flexibility to work varied shifts and float within the facility.
