Description
Job Opportunity: RRT - Respiratory Therapy
Location: Lafayette, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Overview
- Unit Type: ICU, Med Surg, ER, NICU
- Number of Beds: 160
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 5-6 minimum staff
- Night Shift: 4-4.5 minimum staff
- Shift: 6 PM – 6:30 AM (36-hour week schedules)
- Weekends: Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Call Requirements: None
- Patient Ratios: RVU System
- EMR System: EPIC
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP
- Preferably Level 3 NICU skills (required to be considered)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy specialty (acute care)
- Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU settings
- Experience managing BiPAPs, ventilators, Heated High Flow units
- Assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
- Proficient in EMR charting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in ICU/CCU, NICU, and Emergency Care as an RT
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate
- Willingness to assist with higher patient loads and higher acuity patients
- Comfortable working in a Level 3 NICU environment
