Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Wilson, North Carolina

Position Details

Specialty: Med Surg
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Yes – may float as 2nd nurse to Telemetry and Emergency Department
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
Patient Ratios: 6:1 up to 7:1
Number of Beds: 22 beds per unit (3rd and 5th floors)
EHR System: MEDITECH (experience preferred)
Equipment: Telemetry

Requirements

Licensure: Registered Nurse License (RN)
Certifications: BLS, NIH
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg (higher value between 1+ and >2 years)
Must Have Skills: MEDITECH experience
Preferred Experience: Med Surg specialty experience
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher

Additional Information

Orientation is bi-weekly with upcoming start dates available.
Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited hospital with services including cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services.
No prior travel experience is explicitly required.
Dress code: Scrubs of any color; no unacceptable attire specified.
Personality fit: Family-oriented environment.
