Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
Employment Type: Contract Clinician
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Assist interventional radiologist in all types of interventional radiology procedures using angiography, fluoroscopy, CT, OR, and ultrasound.
  • Practice radiation and laser safety for patients, staff, and self.
  • Use sterile technique and function in the first scrub role by preparing, organizing, and anticipating needed instruments, supplies, and equipment for safe patient care during interventional radiology procedures.
  • Equipment used includes Fluoroscopy, CT, Ultrasound, PACS, and EMR.
  • Work schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, during the day on weekdays.
  • Weekday and weekend call required; will not work alone—nurse and another tech will also be on call.
  • No floating to other units/departments.
  • Dress code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
  • Unit performs a wide range of interventional radiology procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Nebraska
  • Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
