Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Health (Days)

Location: Alpena, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Assess client health needs, nursing care requirements, and deliver nursing care to all assigned clients.
• Direct client assessments by other nursing staff.
• Plan care for assigned clients and oversee care planning by other nursing staff.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and ensure responsible care is provided.
• Implement nursing actions according to established nursing standards.
• Provide competent nursing care across all age groups: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1+ years of Home Care RN experience (required).
• Active Michigan RN license (LARA and/or Nursys verification required).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active Driver's License, reliable vehicle, and clean DMV report (required).
• Experience with IVs, wound vacs, and central lines is highly preferred.
• MI LTC fingerprinting results required before starting.
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered).
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Home Health, current within 1 year (required).
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years (required).

• Facility is a 139 licensed-bed hospital located in northeast Michigan on the shores of Lake Huron.
