Description
Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position
Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Facility Overview
- Level III trauma center with 198 beds
- Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
- Located in the scenic San Juan River Valley with access to outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and national parks
Position Details
- Department: Rehabilitation Department / Occupational Therapy
- Specialty: Pediatrics Outpatient
- Shift: Days (7:00 am – 5:30 pm)
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed / 40 scheduled
- Breaks: Unpaid 30-minute lunch (12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
- Days of Work: Monday through Thursday
- Patient Load: 10-14 scheduled patients per day
- EHR System: Cerner
- Dress Code: Dark gray (pewter) top and black pants; scrubs or polo/button-up; no jeans
- Vaccinations: All required vaccinations must be verified
Requirements
- Licensure: New Mexico State OT License
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in Occupational Therapy specialty (Pediatrics Outpatient experience preferred)
- Patient Population: Pediatrics and special needs
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, premature babies, etc.
- Call/Float: Not required
- Overtime: Must be pre-approved
Additional Notes
- Mandatory meetings may occur during lunch break; timecard adjustments will be made accordingly
- No weekend hours or call requirements
