Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Facility Overview

Level III trauma center with 198 beds
Services include medical, surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology, pediatrics, behavioral health, day surgery, imaging, and lab testing
Located in the scenic San Juan River Valley with access to outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and national parks

Position Details

Department: Rehabilitation Department / Occupational Therapy
Specialty: Pediatrics Outpatient
Shift: Days (7:00 am – 5:30 pm)
Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed / 40 scheduled
Breaks: Unpaid 30-minute lunch (12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
Days of Work: Monday through Thursday
Patient Load: 10-14 scheduled patients per day
EHR System: Cerner
Dress Code: Dark gray (pewter) top and black pants; scrubs or polo/button-up; no jeans
Vaccinations: All required vaccinations must be verified

Requirements

Licensure: New Mexico State OT License
Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Occupational Therapy specialty (Pediatrics Outpatient experience preferred)
Patient Population: Pediatrics and special needs
Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Cerebral Palsy, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, premature babies, etc.
Call/Float: Not required
Overtime: Must be pre-approved

Additional Notes

Mandatory meetings may occur during lunch break; timecard adjustments will be made accordingly
No weekend hours or call requirements
