Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist (Temp, Nights)

Location: New Lenox, Illinois

Position Summary

• Perform a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients of all ages.
• Perform assigned supervisory functions.
• Maintain ARRT standards.
• Verify physician orders and consult with radiologists as necessary.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and provide education and instruction.
• Adhere to MRI safety standards.
• Perform all MRI studies and administer contrast media using age-related technical and positioning protocols.
• Assist radiologists with MR procedures as requested.
• Evaluate MRI images for technical quality.
• Operate and maintain MRI and associated equipment, including warm-up, calibration, and safety checks.
• Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Operate hospital computer systems and follow manufacturer guidelines for quality control.

Requirements

• Specialty: MRI Technologist
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent GE MRI experience required
• Certifications:

  • ARRT Certification (AMRIT not accepted)
  • BLS Certification
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Temporary, Night Shift
