Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist
Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Specialty & Experience Requirements
- Specialty: Radiation Therapy
- Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T)
- WV State License
- Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Varian linear accelerators
- Ability to administer external beam radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist
- Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; default to standard for specialty (recommend verifying with recruiter)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Work Environment & Equipment
- Department Equipment:
- 1 CT Simulation scanner (GE Lightspeed)
- 1 Linear accelerator (Varian 2100 IX)
- Imaging/Studies Performed:
- Image-guided radiation therapy
- Cone Beam CT (CBCT)
- Average Daily Volume:
- 30-35 therapeutic radiation treatments
- 3-5 CT simulations
- EMR/PACS Systems: ARIA, EPIC
- Coverage: No floating or coverage of other areas required
- Radiologist Availability: Radiation Oncologist or covering physician available during treatment day
- IV Starts: Not required
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Overtime: Minimal potential to meet clinic needs
- Weekend Requirements: None
- Holiday Requirements: Closed major holidays
- Call/Standby: None
- Scrub/Dress Code: Solid color scrubs (no navy blue); scrubs not provided
Additional Notes
- Agency must provide radiation badge prior to start
- Submission restrictions apply within the WVU system (relevant for recruiters)
- Background checks must be disclosed at time of submission
