Job Opportunity: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position
Location: Texarkana, Texas
Employment Type: Travel (Full Time)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment programs for patients with communicative disorders. The role involves working primarily with adult neuro, cognitive, and dysphagia patients.

Work Schedule
- 5 days per week
- 8 hours per day
Requirements
Education & Licensure
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required
- SLP License in Texas required (SLP Intern license accepted if all requirements are met)
- Full ASHA certification required within one year of hire
- BLS certification (AHA) required
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Speech Language Pathology (higher experience requirement applied)
- New graduates with entry-level experience are acceptable, but 1 year preferred
Skills & Certifications
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Preferred: Experience in outpatient (OP) environment
- Preferred certifications: VitalStim and LSVT
- EPIC experience preferred for documentation
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Document case history, evaluation reports, treatment plans, and progress notes timely
- Involve patients and families in therapeutic planning and goal setting
- Provide professional patient care to restore optimal independence and function
- Participate in departmental communication and coordination
- Ensure efficient scheduling and service delivery
- Maintain required records and participate in peer and utilization reviews
- Adhere to professional standards, policies, and confidentiality
