Job Opportunity: GI Lab Registered Nurse

Location: Germantown, Tennessee

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (GI Lab)
• Required Years of Experience: 3 years recent experience preferred; minimum 2 years required
• First-timers: Not accepted unless 3+ years recent experience
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (5x8 schedule)
• On-Call: As needed
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Locals: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Must be included at time of submission

Special Requirements

• Level I Trauma Experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must meet all licensing and credentialing requirements

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for all candidates
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC only, required for multiple units including Cath Lab
• NIH Stroke Certification: Required for all RNs except at Children’s Hospital
• Other certifications may be preferred depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC) but not explicitly required for this role

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 60 days of start (statewide, county, federal, education verification)
• Social Security card and two forms of government-issued ID required
• Drug test: Negative 10-panel within 30 days of start (no pending results accepted)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (must pass; facial hair not allowed)
• Immunizations: Proof of MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB test (annual updates required)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required for onsite candidates during flu season
• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and competency exams must be current (within 1 year) and updated annually
• Photo for badge with strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, no filters)

Additional Notes

• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
• Business casual with lab coat for RN Case Managers (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for experienced GI Lab RNs with trauma and large hospital experience seeking a 13-week travel contract in a Level I Trauma Center setting.
