Position Details

• Average Daily Census: 21 patients
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty

• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required
  • ACLS, PALS may be required based on unit/specialty
• On-call: Not required
• Floating: Will float as needed within department scope
• License: Must have active Illinois nursing license or be in application process with ETA to apply
• Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
• Guaranteed Hours: Client may cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without pay; cancellations beyond that will be billed
• Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions

Required Documentation and Compliance

• Valid/current US Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years (including SSN trace, criminal, sex offender, FACIS Level 3)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
• Illinois-specific searches (Department of Corrections, Most Wanted, State Police registries) within 30 days prior to start
• Fingerprinting through Illinois Health Care Worker Registry (for clinical candidates without IL license) completed 3 business days prior to start
• Education verification (degree or transcript)
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Competency exam required for clinical candidates
• Badge photo required before start
• Signed Code of Conduct and other facility-specific documents
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, including labs within 7 days of contract signing
• Fit mask test required (specific mask types accepted)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB questionnaire updated annually
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Medical Surgical RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The position requires night shifts with every other weekend work, BLS certification, and specific IV and line management skills.
