Travel Cath Lab Technician

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Work 4 days a week with varying shift start and end times
• Call schedule based on department needs: currently 1-2 weekday nights (5 PM - 6 AM) and every 4th weekend (Friday 5 PM - Monday 6 AM)
• Holidays covered by call as needed
• May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Current license for Cath Lab Technician as required by state regulations (Wisconsin) with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start

Required Health & Compliance

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted)
• Fit Test: Required annually, preferred prior to start
• Hepatitis B: Vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31), exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• TB Screening: Positive IGRA or PPD results, negative chest X-ray within one year, and annual TB questionnaire
• Varicella: Proof of immunity or two doses of vaccine (no declinations accepted)
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years, no declinations accepted
• Health Statement: Completed physical exam or statement of good health prior to first assignment, updated annually
• 12 Panel Drug Screen: Completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Ascension Core Competencies: HIPAA, Joint Commission, NPSG, OSHA topics completed within one year of start and updated every 3 years
• Ascension Skills Checklist: Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
• Criminal Background Check: Includes Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other checks within 30 days prior to assignment
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days prior to start
• Education Verification: Relevant education verified within 90 days prior to start
• Employment Verification: Third-party verification for past 7 years prior to start
• Ascension Profile and Professional References: Required prior to assignment
• Driver’s License/State ID: Valid and matching address requirements
