Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN (Varied Shifts)

Location: Lima, Ohio

Job Description

• Provide patient care on assigned shift within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.
• All travelers are expected and required to float to units within their scope of practice and skill set. Refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the week.

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with OB/GYN experience
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in OB experience (required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment (required)
• Shift Availability: Prefers candidates available for varied shifts; will consider days or nights only
• Clinical Skills: Ability to function as a 1st assist and scrub in OB (highly preferred)
• Licenses & Certifications:

  • Active Ohio or Compact RN License (Nursys verification required)
  • American Heart Association BLS (required)
  • American Heart Association ACLS (required)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (required)
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification (required)
  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) Certification (required)
• Documentation: Current work history and skills checklist pertinent to OB/GYN specialty (within 1 year)

Additional Information

• EMR system used: MediTech
• Nonbillable hours: 8 hours
• OT/Holiday/Call back pay at 1.25x regular rates

This position is ideal for experienced OB/GYN RNs who have prior travel experience and are flexible with shift assignments.
