Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Critical Care Registered Nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
- Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
- Assisting physicians with procedures
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment
- Administering IV fluids and medications
- Suctioning and collaborating with the critical care team
- Responding to life-saving situations using nursing protocols
- Acting as patient advocate and providing education/support to families
- Occasionally caring for pre- and post-operative patients
- May perform case management, policy making, or administrative duties
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in ICU
- Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
- Licenses: Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC required; TNCC preferred (all must be American Heart Association certifications)
- Additional:
- Candidates may occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit)
- May need to float between Lander and Riverton campuses depending on census
