Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Description

• Work on the Heart Failure / Stroke Unit, a 42-bed unit specializing in neurological and cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke.
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists and neurologists to provide expert care for complex neuro-cardiac patients.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Schedule includes holidays as required and every other weekend.
• Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate’s degree in nursing

Licenses & Certifications:

• Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS
• ACLS
• NIH or Red Cross certification
• NURSYS verification

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience required; however, candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license will be considered.
• Must have at least 1 recent year of experience in Med Surg Telemetry or related specialty.
• Years of experience required: 2 years (defaulting to the higher requirement)

Prior Travel Experience:

• Not explicitly required
