Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Eureka, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) - Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) - as applicable
- IV Certification (if applicable)
- NIH Stroke Certification (every 2 years)
- Chemotherapy, EFM, and other certifications as required by clinical track or facility
Facility & Work Environment
- Acute Care Hospital with 150 staffed beds
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrub colors: Radiology staff wear dark solid colors
- Parking: Free on first day; assignment parking provided during orientation
- No floating between units required
- No on-call required
- Block schedule accommodation: Saturday to Monday available
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
- Education Verification: Required for all candidates; international education requires transcripts/diplomas
- Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with month/year format
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years
- Physical Exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Drug Testing: 10 panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Immunizations & Health Documents:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer or declination
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator Safety Clearance: Required for travel candidates, medically cleared annually
- Fit Mask Testing: Required for travel candidates, updated annually; onsite testing available if needed
Training & Competency
- Must complete Providence WorkRamp Core and Specialty Modules as assigned (varies by profession and region)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency Exams required by specialty
- Color Blind Testing if required by unit
- Epic training modules completion required prior to or shortly after start
- Skills Checklists updated annually as applicable
