Job Opportunity: RN Flex Pool - Nights
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Flexible RN position floating between various medical and surgical units
- Units include Medical Unit, Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute), and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
- 12-hour night shifts (18:45 to 07:15), scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation
- No guaranteed hours
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
- BLS and ACLS required
- Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
Experience Requirements
- 2 to 10 years of nursing experience required (use higher value: 10 years)
Skills & Equipment
- Experience with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios
- Medical Unit: 1:6 (days/evenings), 1:8 (nights)
- Laulima Unit: 1:6
- Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4
- Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves
Orientation & Training
- Orientation provided for each unit floated to
Additional Information
- Must have Hawaii nursing license before starting
- Must arrive the Thursday before start date for employee health appointment on Friday
- Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required
- Medical and religious exemption requests for immunity will not be accepted
