Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• No on-call required
• Must be ARRT certified
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
• Level 1 trauma work experience required
• Experience Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of X-Ray experience with travel, OR
  • 3 years of current X-Ray experience without travel
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (strict radius rule)

Required Certifications

• ARRT Certification (mandatory for MRI Techs, CT Techs, Ultrasound Techs)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for Pediatrics roles, not required for Techs
• Other certifications may be required depending on specific assignments

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background Check within 60 days of start, including:

  • Statewide, County, Federal searches
  • Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
  • Sex Offender Search
  • Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry (for TN facilities)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations required annually or after one year with agency

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Fit Mask Test (3M N-95 only), tested within 1 year, required prior to start
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
• Immunizations required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for this pediatric facility)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed)
  • Hepatitis B (3-shot series, positive titer, or signed declination)
  • Varicella (proof of 2 vaccines or positive antibody titer with boosters if needed)
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Additional Requirements

• Two forms of government-issued ID required (e.g., driver’s license, social security card)
• Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
• Facility-specific dress code:

  • Navy blue scrubs for RNs
  • Caribbean blue for RRTs
  • Steel gray for Surgical and OB Techs
  • No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
  • Business casual with lab coat for RN Case Managers and certain clinical roles

Prior Travel Experience

• Must have at least 2 years of X-Ray experience with travel OR 3 years without travel
• Indicates prior travel experience is preferred or required for the lower experience threshold
