Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Clinical - Nursing - Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care specific to Labor & Delivery.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Understand conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment related to surgical patients.
• Individualize patient care based on procedure and anesthesia type.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • BLS (Required)
• Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing (based on typical industry standards; no explicit years stated, so assume at least 1 year)
• Prior Travel Experience:
