Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: ICU
Number of Beds: 21
Number of Staff: 45
Shift Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse (no patient assignment), 6-8 nurses
- Night Shift: Similar staffing as day
Patient Ratios:
- Standard ICU: 2:1 nurse to patient
- Step-down status: 3:1
- Very high acuity: 1:1
Equipment: Hospira IV pumps
EMR System: Meditech
Additional Unit Info:
- Small community hospital
- Mostly elective patients
- Magnet designated
- Intensivist coverage 24/7 in ICU

Required Skills & Experience

Specialty: Registered Nurse in ICU
Years of Experience Required: 2 years
Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Must Have Skills:
- Vasopressor IV drip titration
- Ventilator management
- Care of sepsis, arrhythmias, and med/surg critical care patients
Preferred Skills:
- Cardiac experience
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
