Job Opportunity: Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Float pool position covering General Med Surg, Rehab, and Behavioral Health units
Patient types include Med Surg, Rehab, Behavioral Health
Unit bed size: 63
Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5
Experience administering Heparin and Insulin required
EMR system: EPIC

Experience Requirements

Minimum 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Med Tele, or IMCU capacity (highest required years of experience)
Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract within the last 12 months (prior travel experience required)
Skills checklist specific to Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele discipline required

Licensure & Certifications

Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
Driver’s license required
ACLS (AHA) certification required
BLS (AHA) certification required
NIH Stroke Scale certificate highly preferred

Additional Information

Professional references or performance evaluations from within the last 24 months preferred
Must be willing to float across General Med Surg, Rehab, and Behavioral Health units

This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg/Telemetry RNs with prior travel contract experience and required certifications looking for a temporary assignment in Iowa.
